Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Wyncity Live (live.wyncity.com.au) handles personal information, livestreamed and recorded footage, and data obtained through Google and YouTube APIs.
Effective date: 15 October 2026
Who we are
Wyncity Live is the live scoring and streaming platform for two bowling venues:
- Wyncity Keon Park, operated by KP Bowling Pty Ltd (ABN 34 655 365 281)
- Wyncity Morwell, operated by Potsnpinnies Latrobe Pty Ltd (ABN 57 644 631 685)
This single policy covers Wyncity Live and both venues. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean the relevant venue operator and the Wyncity Live platform.
Information we handle
Bowlers: names, team and league or tournament participation, lane assignments, game scores, averages, standings and achievements. These come from the venue scoring system and official results sources (such as LeagueSecretary, BLS result reports and TenpinResults) and are published on public results, scores and player pages.
Livestreams and replays: league and tournament bowling is filmed and broadcast publicly on YouTube. People present on or near the lanes may appear in video.
Staff accounts: email address, sign-in details and the venue each staff member manages. Public visitors do not need an account to view the site.
How we use information
We use this information to publish live scores, results, standings, player profiles, livestreams and replays, and to let authorised staff operate broadcasts and manage results for their venue.
Livestreaming, recording and footage removal
Wyncity Live is intended for league and tournament bowling at Wyncity Keon Park and Wyncity Morwell. These events may be livestreamed and recorded, and broadcasts may remain available as replays through Wyncity Live and YouTube. Participants are informed that their events are livestreamed, and signage at both venues advises visitors.
General social bowling is not intentionally livestreamed. If social bowlers are accidentally included in a livestream, we will act promptly to stop the unintended broadcast where applicable and remove the affected footage from the services we control as soon as reasonably practicable. Please tell Wyncity staff or email [email protected].
League and tournament participants can raise concerns about particular footage the same way; these are reviewed individually. Including the venue, event, approximate date and time, and a link helps us locate the footage. We cannot guarantee that every complete broadcast can be deleted, or remove copies made or retained by third parties.
Venue security (CCTV) cameras operate separately, have their own signage and are not published on Wyncity Live.
Google and YouTube API data
Authorised Wyncity staff connect Wyncity-owned YouTube channels to Wyncity Live using Google sign-in (OAuth). We request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl permission. Wyncity Live uses YouTube API Services.
Access and use: this permission is used only to create, schedule, start, monitor and end live broadcasts on our own channels; read broadcast and stream status; set titles, descriptions, thumbnails and embedding; add our broadcasts to playlists; and list our past broadcasts for the replay archive. We do not access YouTube viewers' personal data and do not use YouTube data for advertising.
Storage: OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored server-side in our backend database and are never shown to visitors. We also store broadcast IDs, titles, status, timestamps, the connected channel's ID and title, and a log of YouTube API requests used to monitor quota and broadcast health.
Sharing: public broadcast details (titles, video embeds and replay links) are displayed on Wyncity Live. We do not sell YouTube API data, and we use it only for the broadcast-management purposes described above.
By using YouTube features on this site you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access: the Google account owner can revoke Wyncity Live's access at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party connections. Once revoked, Wyncity Live can no longer manage broadcasts on that channel.
Deletion: when staff disconnect a channel in Wyncity Live, the stored OAuth tokens for that channel are deleted from our database. Disconnecting inside Wyncity Live does not by itself revoke the permission at Google; use the Google Account link above to do that. Other stored YouTube API data (such as broadcast metadata and request logs) is not currently deleted automatically on disconnect or revocation; you can request its deletion using the contact details below.
Embedded YouTube players
Livestreams and replays are shown using embedded YouTube players. YouTube may set cookies or collect usage data under Google's own privacy policy when you play a video.
Data retention
Wyncity Live maintains historical bowling results, player statistics, tournament records and livestream archives as an ongoing sporting record. We do not automatically delete these records after a fixed period.
Google and YouTube API data (such as OAuth tokens and broadcast metadata) is separate from these sporting records. Stored tokens are deleted when staff disconnect a channel; other YouTube API data is retained until deleted on request, as described above.
Access, correction, removal and complaints
To ask a question, or to request access to, correction of or removal of your personal information, contact us at [email protected] (primary). You can also contact [email protected].
Requests are handled manually and considered individually. Where information forms part of the historical sporting record (for example, official competition results), we may need to retain it even where other information is corrected or removed.
If you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us at the addresses above and we will investigate and respond.
